You will need a valid driver's license, a credit or debit card for payment, and to meet our age requirements (21-75 years old with at least 12 months of driving experience).

Do you accept international driver's licenses?

Yes, we accept international driver's licenses along with a valid International Driving Permit or an approved translation into English if the license is not issued in English.

How do I book a car?

You can book a car through our website, by calling our customer service or email.

Rental Terms & Conditions

There may be additional fees for things like late returns, refueling, toll charges, and additional cleaning if the car is returned in poor condition. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for a full list of potential fees.

SUMMARY OF KEY TERMS

  1. Parties & Vehicle

    • This Agreement is between Rent Ridez (“We,” “Us,” or “Owner”), located at 151 Gooding Drive, Merrimac, QLD, and the Renter (“You,” “Your”), for hiring the specified Vehicle.

  2. Vehicle Use & Driver Eligibility

    • Only You (and any designated Authorized Driver(s)) may drive the Vehicle.

    • Must hold a valid, unrestricted driver’s licence recognized in QLD.

    • Must comply with all Queensland traffic laws (Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 (Qld)).

    • A 200 km radius limit from Merrimac, QLD, unless We approve otherwise in writing.

  3. Tesla/Electric Vehicle (EV) Battery Clause

    • Strict adherence to our EV charging instructions is mandatory.

    • You assume financial liability if the battery is allowed to deplete below recommended levels, causing damage or requiring specialized towing/repairs.

  4. PPSA & Security

    • We may register a security interest in the Vehicle under the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth) (PPSA).

    • This allows us to repossess and enforce our rights if You default or commit a Major Breach.

  5. Major Breaches

    • Include unauthorized drivers, driving under the influence, exceeding the radius limit without permission, failing to follow EV battery instructions, failing to return the Vehicle, or defaulting on payments.

    • May lead to immediate termination, forfeiture of bond, and additional liability.

  6. Insurance & Damage Liabilities

    • Basic Damage Cover with a standard excess of $2,500 per incident (unless otherwise stated).

    • Exclusions for reckless driving, overhead/underbody water damage, and other prohibited usage.

  7. Bond, Fees, and Other Charges

    • A bond/security deposit is held for 2 weeks post-return to cover fines, tolls, or damage.

    • Full tank/fuel or adequate EV battery charge must be maintained upon return (or pay relevant refueling/recharging costs).

    • Late rental payments beyond 3 weeks can trigger immediate demand for Vehicle return.

  8. Return Conditions & Inspections

    • Return the Vehicle on the agreed date/time, in the same condition (minus fair wear and tear), or incur extra fees.

    • Cleaning fees apply if the Vehicle is returned in a substandard condition or with undisclosed damage.

  9. Accident & Incident Protocol

    • Notify Us (and police if applicable) of any accident, theft, or damage within 24 hours.

    • Provide all relevant details of other parties and do not admit fault at the scene.

  10. Governing Law

  • This Agreement is governed by Queensland law. Any disputes are subject to QLD courts’ jurisdiction.

Can I extend my rental period?

Yes, you can extend your rental period. Please notify us at least one week in advance to ensure availability.

Can I drive the car outside the rental location's radius?

The vehicle must not be driven outside a radius of 200 kilometers from our rental location at Merrimac, Queensland unless authorized by us.

How do I pay for tolls?

An electronic tag (e-tag) is not fitted to our vehicles. It is your responsibility to fit an e-tag or purchase a day pass for toll payments. If we are required to nominate you as the responsible party for tolls, an administrative fee will apply.
